A lighter way into compatible studies#
Compatible survey and specimen studies can support discovery, consent, questionnaires, sample tasks, and study information in a browser. The study details identify whether the protocol needs the TrialPilot app. Your account and study records are shared across supported surfaces.
What still needs the app#
- Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect and uploading wearable data.
- Guided objective physical assessments that use native capabilities.
- Push notifications, persistent offline submission queues, and biometric unlock.
Previously uploaded health trends can be viewed in the browser. That does not make the browser a wearable sync service.
Keep an internet connection#
Browser entries send as you go. Pending requests can retry while the tab remains open; do not rely on the browser to preserve an offline queue after closing it. Check the received status before leaving a task.
For a shared device, use the shared-computer sign-in option and sign out when finished. Follow your study team’s instructions for access and required equipment.
