Study designs

One kit. One sample. A study that finishes.

Some questions need a biosample, not a visit schedule. A specimen study ships a collection kit to each participant and brings the sample back to your lab. Consent comes first, and custody is tracked the whole way.

How it works

From consent to sample in five steps.

  1. 1

Join by link or QR code

Participants find the study, read the consent on their phone, and confirm their shipping address. Nothing ships before consent.

  2. 2

    The kit ships

A collection kit goes out to their door. They can follow its progress in the app.

  3. 3

    Collect at home

Step-by-step instructions guide the collection. No clinic, no appointment, no travel.

  4. 4

    Send it back

A prepaid label returns the sample to your lab. The app confirms when it arrives.

  5. 5

    Close out cleanly

You watch every participant move through one funnel, from consent to received sample. The study has a real finish line.

Why this shape

Low burden for them. High completion for you.

A specimen study asks one thing of each participant. That keeps dropout low and makes recruitment honest. People know exactly what they are agreeing to, and the study ends when the sample arrives.

  • Chain of custody recorded at every handoff
  • A path for returning results to participants when your lab is CLIA certified
  • A completion funnel that shows exactly where each kit is
  • Enrollment by shareable link or QR code
  • De-identified researcher views by design

The pilot

Bring your protocol.

We are onboarding a small number of pilot teams and working with each one directly. Tell us about your specimen study and we will show you the platform against it.
